David Rothman has
an informative post about adding medical terms to your spell checker in Word. Rather than adding medical terms individually, you can populate your spell checker with thousands of medical terms from one file, hopefully lessening occurrences of that annoying red underline as you type. His instructions are easy to follow. But I would use the link at the bottom of the post for the quickest results. If you want to do this and are having trouble, contact me.

OpenMedSpel, the maker of this file, also provides an add-on for Firefox, making it possible to add this same dictionary of words to that browser's spell-check function.
