Access Issues for Some New Electronic Journals

We recently switched our subscriptions to MCN: the American journal of Maternal Child Nursing and Nursing Management from print to electronic subscriptions. This grants wider access to these two journals (among many others) across the ACC community. However, there are a few issues you may need to be aware of when viewing articles from these journals.

Although they are indexed in EBSCO databases such as CINAHL and Academic Search premier, the full-text is linked through a different vendor, Ovid. Ovid requires the user to pass through the following screen in order to view the full text. You will need to click the button on the left, which reads OvidSP & Athens.



Also, these journals do have restrictions on how many concurrent users can access the journal at one time. If you have trouble getting through to either of these two titles, wait a bit, and then try again.
